FOMO Generation:

This project focuses on the surrender to technology and its dictates, the fear of ‘missing out’ and giving up privacy to the giant corporations and communities. This project navigates the thin line between critical-parody and realistic-pragmatism: on the one hand, these objects are useful, offering solutions to real-life situations, but do so in an unorthodox manner, creating a feeling of unease with regards to the inherent possibilities and ramifications. Design reference to objects as functional in the entirety, as well as being aesthetic, desirable, and suitable for their environment. Serious reference to objects that are not serious in their purported purpose, serves to stabilize the object existing on the edge of satire and leave a deceiving blow.
