Presented as part of the 2017 ‘Fresh Color’ Exhibition.
Desperation connects the world of traditional design world with modern design using contemporary industrial production processes. The technology incubator examines the relationship between design and technology: how technology affects a design process, how the designer changes the role of technology and how this is reflected in the final product.
Our process includes the use of two robots. The first, a seven-axis industrial mower produces pieces of wooden toys with different textures. The second robot does the final assembly of the wooden toys and adds its own personal signature to the process by including a unique mark and coloring.
